Anne is a pioneer in the online industry and has an impressive track record in executive management
and strategic implementation in communications and computing.
Prior to founding Placecast in 2005, Anne was VP of Directory Services at JiWire. Through the relationships she developed with more than 300 service providers worldwide, she built the leading directory of public wi-fi hotspots from scratch. Before JiWire, Anne was the founder and CEO of BEAP, where she provided custom content management solutions for online publishers. Anne also served as Executive Producer at Productopia, where she coordinated web strategy, business objectives, content and technology - the company quadrupled in size during her tenure. Anne also co-founded PCI, a strategic consulting firm that specialized in alliances between the U.S. and Europe, and in 1994, she organized the 40,000-participant Forum of the United Nations Conference on Women in Beijing, China, securing major corporate sponsorship from Apple and Hewlett-Packard. In the late 1980s, she also pioneered the Minitel system in France.
Anne holds an LLM and JD from the University of Paris and an MBA from the IEP of Paris, France. She is the author of several patents and a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events.
As CEO of Placecast, Alistair Goodman brings both passion and experience in helping create,
build, and scale successful new media organizations.
Prior to Placecast, Alistair was Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Exponential Interactive, an online media services and technology company whose flagship brand - the Tribal Fusion ad network - grew to be one of the largest privately-held digital media companies in the U.S. during his time there.
Before joining Exponential, he was a founder and Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Impli, a San Francisco-based digital media company which was acquired by Premier Retail Networks (PRN). Earlier in his career, he worked first on Wall Street and then as a management consultant for both CSC Index and Corven UK Ltd, helping large organizations with process reengineering and the implementation of growth strategies.
Alistair holds a BA from Haverford College, an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management and was a Henry Luce scholar in Asia from 1993-94. He is a frequent speaker at online advertising and mobile media industry conferences.
Daniel Parkes is an experienced technologist and software architect, and is a co-founder of Placecast.
As CTO, he is responsible for developing the Placecast technology and platform, including core intellectual
property and patents around location content management, geofencing, advertising, inventory management and forecasting.
Currently, he focuses on the design and deployment of scalable, enterprise-grade applications to meet the growing needs of Placecast's customers.
Prior to Placecast, Daniel was a lead architect at Manhattan Associates, a supply-chain software company with solutions in logistics, transportation, replenishment, and retail planning. He was a key member of the team that developed Manhattan's flagship replenishment, forecasting, and inventory management product suite, which is now implemented at several Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Daniel has 14 years experience as an executive, software architect, and engineer.
Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Psychology from Harvard University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Will is a technology industry investor, executive, and advisor, and is an expert dealmaker with 18 years of experience in the tech industry.
Will was most recently the CFO of TxVia, a mobile payments company based in NYC that was acquired by Google in March 2012 after raising $50 million in venture capital and building the industry leading mobile payment platform. Google is using TxVia's technology to power the payments engine in the Google Wallet. Prior to TxVia, Will spent a number of years as a technology investment banker at in Boston where he executed venture capital and M&A transactions for software and Internet companies. As one of the first hires at Revolution Partners in 2004, he helped grow a startup investment bank to 45 bankers, 100+ transactions, and a successful exit in 2008. His prior work experience includes private equity, technology equity research, and software product management.
Will holds an MBA from the Wharton School, where he studied entrepreneurship and finance and was a full-time member of the admissions committee, and a BSE in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
Blair is responsible for strategy and business development, driving go-to-market activities and partnerships with the mobile and payments ecosystems.
Prior to joining Placecast, Blair founded Partenza Consulting, a strategy and business development consultancy advising leading players and investors in the mobile industry. Blair also launched the mobile content product line for NAVTEQ, the leading digital map company now owned by Nokia. Before joining NAVTEQ, Blair was a Director and Quantitative Analyst at UBS Global Asset Management where he led development and operations for the firm's global equity valuation platform and supported the development and launch of the firm's first long-short global equity hedge fund. Blair has more than twelve years of experience in business development, strategy, and product management in mobile content and applications, digital advertising and analytics.
Blair holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
Since joining Placecast in July of 2006, Todd has played a pivotal role in building the Placecast platform.
As VP of Product Management, Todd leads a growing product team and drives the design and execution of Placecast's technical product strategy.
Todd has more than 14 years of experience in technology, product design, solution implementation and consulting. Prior to Placecast, Todd was Director of Technology at Manhattan Associates, a global software company specializing in supply-chain optimization. At Manhattan, Todd grew and led the technical services team in focusing on implementing replenishment, inventory management, forecasting, and merchandise planning solutions in North America and Europe. Todd previously held management and consulting roles at Evant (now MANH), iMediation (now GXS), and Oracle.
Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bishops University and an Applied IT degree from the Information Technology Institute in Canada.
David Anson has a decade of focused business development, strategy, and emerging technology experience. He joins Placecast as Vice President of
Strategic Partnerships, a role in which he will oversee key enterprise relationships and business development across mobile operators, payment
networks, and media companies. Prior to Placecast, David was the head of platform strategy and business development for AT&T's digital
media organization. His team was responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing partnerships with both technology startups and F100 companies.
Prior to AT&T, David led business development for venture-funded start-ups Yodle and The Rubicon Project. Earlier, he spent over three years at Google in sales and business development where he partnered with leading brands to create, execute, and optimize their multi-platform digital endeavors. He began his career at Starcom MediaVest working with several of the agency's top clients.
David holds a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Management from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College.
Elizabeth Pavageau brings over 15 years in sales and sales operations experience, from the early stage start-up to the large enterprise global company.
Her last 7 years have specifically been focused on the online and mobile media space. She joins Placecast as the VP of Ad solutions, a role in which she
will oversee all sales and operations efforts linked to successfully scaling PlaceAd, Placecast's location-based mobile advertising solution, in the global market.
Most recently, Elizabeth was Head of Business Strategy & Operations for InMobi North America, leading the region's business operations teams in supporting triple digit annual growth in mobile media sales. She also drove global initiatives centered on sales productivity (CRM implementation, lead to cash process definition & rollout) and led the operational integration of three company acquisitions. Prior to InMobi, she held a variety of sales and business operations roles at Hewlett Packard, Yahoo! and Datapop (digital marketing start-up).
Elizabeth holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from ESCP Europe in France.
Rich has served on company boards as a director (Blue Lithium [sold to Yahoo!],
Web Clients [sold to ValueClick], x+1 and Associated Content [sold to Yahoo!]),
provided advisory services to large and small online advertising companies
(Google, AOL, Blue Lithium, Glam) and personally invested in promising online
advertising startups (Ad Relevance [sold to Nielsen NetRatings], Grouper/Crackle [sold to Sony] and Blue Lithium).
He has long been a supporter and evangelist to help grow the industry, and was the founding Chairman of the IAB, the Future of Advertising Stakeholders (FAST), and the SF Bay Area Interactive Group (SFBIG) and has served on the board of the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF), the Advertising Education Foundation (AEF), and the advisory board of ad:tech. He received the IAB's Lifetime Achievement Award (2004), was inducted into Advertising Age's Interactive Hall of Fame (2000), and was recognized by USAToday as "the Johnny Appleseed of Online Advertising" (1998).
Terry has specialized in working with technology based start-ups for more than 40 years.
He founded ONSET Ventures, a premier Silicon Valley venture capital firm, in 1984, where he is Managing Director and General Partner.
Prior to launching the firm, Terry was president of VisiCorp, guiding the software publishing company from inception into an industry leader.
Earlier, he worked as a technical manager for Hewlett-Packard as a part of the original group of individuals that started HP's computer business.
He later headed Intel Corporation's microcomputer systems business, microprocessor architecture activities, serveral international ventures and human resources.
At ONSET Ventures, Terry maintains a broad spectrum of investment interests including software, computing and communications infrastructure and the leverage of big data.
One of Terry's passions is teaching. He works with studentss each year focusing on the fundamentals of building successful businesses. He is a Fellow at the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Haas School of Business, University of California where he has taught the Venture Capital and Private Equity class for the past ten years. Terry received a B.S. from the Michigan State University Honors College and a M.S. from Stanford University.
Dan focuses on internet, infrastructure, clean IT, wireless, and core technology areas.
He has extensive experience in venture capital investing, portfolio company management, and technology entrepreneurship.
In addition to Placecast, he serves on the boards of AutoGrid, Coulomb Technologies, and Vidder for Voyager.
Prior to Voyager, Dan was a partner and managing director at Woodside Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm, for nine years.
At Woodside, he has led the firm's investing in core technology and infrastructure companies, and led the creation, development,
and investment in numerous successful companies, including companies such as Analogix and Berkeley Design.
Prior to Woodside Fund, he was an associate at the Foster Management Company, a venture capital firm that invested in and consolidated
fragmented service companies.
Prior to that, Dan was the co-founder and president of a successful technology startup company, Endpoint Technologies, Inc., which developed and sold real-time manufacturing control systems for semiconductor device production. He was responsible for the company's product management, business development, and finance. The company was acquired by Applied Materials.
Prior to that, Dan was with the venture capital group at CS First Boston, where he worked with information technology companies. Dan has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA, magna cum laude, from Harvard College. In addition to being a classical violinist, Dan enjoys outdoor activities and reading.
