How ShopAlerts works
Operators license ShopAlerts and work with Placecast to create their own customized program. Operators can utilize the ShopAlerts program to generate advertiser revenue from brands looking for a highly targeted and cost-effective means of acquiring new customers.
For location-based messaging programs, ShopAlerts uses real-time location, geofencing technology, user preferences, day, and time to deliver offers via SMS, MMS or push notifications that are more relevant to a consumer's particular mindset. Geofencing creates a pre-defined, virtual space around a particular location, and when consumers that have opted in and fit the program criteria are within a determined radius, they receive offers tied to those geofences. For display advertising programs, ShopAlerts dynamically tailors the ad to incorporate relevant information like the address of the nearest store, phone number, or product inventory that dramatically increases relevance and effectiveness. ShopAlerts display ads can be delivered across any channel — the web, mobile apps, or even email. For payments programs, ShopAlerts integrates with payment cards and mobile wallets to close the loop from the offer delivery all the way to the payment at the point of sale.
